Vincent Vernerie is a french visual artist and theatre performer based in Oslo since 2015.
an actor, performer, director, video artist and maker of various kinds of masks and puppets, he is also the co-founder and co-artistic director of the Krumple.
He is graduated at École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq, Paris 2011-13.
considering the theater as a place of all possibilities - "a bit like a magic box" - Vincent is a handyman who gives free rein to his intuition and his taste of the bizarre to create original forms at the service of the imagination of the audience.
using the visual to show what is usually invisible, Vincent likes to balance on a fine line between what enchants and what disturbs.
whether with his company or solo, his artistic research is primarily that of a body language that takes root in a poetic and offbeat universe.
constantly renewed by the experience of the present, this research is characterized also and above all by a playful approach, punctuated by a large number of surprises and a significant part of self-mockery.
sometimes he defines his work as that of a small operation to defuse in himself any tendency to take himself too seriously.
sharing his time between collective adventures and solo experiences Vincent is also a music enthusiast who goes to bed with Bach and wakes up with fip (popular french radio).
in his spare time, Vincent draws, plays the flute, enjoys reading and walks in the forest. at the moment he is reading Thomas Mann's Magic Mountain, which he likes very much, though sometimes his mind wanders a bit.
Vincent mimics the sound of the trumpet with his mouth rather well.
